Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Chili the Dog needs a home

I'm a Senior Sweetheart and my adoption fees are waived through the month of February!

Foster Care! Video Available!

Hi there my name is Chili! I'm a 13-year-old spayed Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. Don't let my old age fool you, I'm as spry and as spunky as they come, plus I hear 13 is the new 10 ;) ! I have gorgeous dark brown eyes with a cute classic dachshund nose. I love to go for walks and follow my human around everywhere. I'm a little weary of new people but once I get to know you I'm the biggest snuggle bug! I spent most of my life before PHS in a backyard, but I'm mostly house-trained now! I do great with other dogs (though I don't necessarily want to play!) but children can be a little scary. Won't you please come meet me? And make sure to bring hot dogs!!!

My foster mom says I don't act my age at all! Plus I love to go exploring and adventuring.

Since I'm in foster care and not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by contacting Mary-Ann at [email protected] or by calling 650-340-7022 ext. 417.

Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Our hours are weekdays from 11am-7pm and weekends from 11am-6pm (closed major holidays). Interested adopters must arrive at least 1 hour before close.

We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!

To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor or 650-340-7022 ext. 823 anytime to hear a recording of our available animals (updated each morning).
